Lady Gaga and Beyoncé once got together for a sister sesh, but it didn’t go how you might think.
In Lady Gaga’s documentary Gaga: Five Foot Two, the pop star sheds light on her battle with chronic pain, that one time she smoked a ton of weed in front of Beyoncé, and the Queen Bey’s ensuing panic attack.
In her documentary, Lady Gaga goes into detail about her fibromyalgia, a disorder involving musculoskeletal pain, fatigue, sleep, memory loss, and mood issues. Medical marijuana is for some, a useful way of treating the symptoms of fibromyalgia. Lady Gaga also uses the documentary to show just how much she loves weed.
Beyoncé didn’t actually smoke any weed with Lady Gaga; it was just Lady Gaga, herself, hitting the reefer all on her own. Nonetheless, Beyoncé freaked out.
“That was the night I gave Beyoncé, like, a panic attack,” Gaga says in the documentary. “I don’t know, I just always feel like when i’m with her and Jay-Z, I’m always like hanging out in the corner with like nine joints hanging out of my mouth being like ‘Whaaaaat’s up?!’ and she’s like ‘You’re not a lady but why? How is this working?'” Lady Gaga says she doesn’t know why exactly Beyoncé freaked out, but it was clear that she was displeased.
Nonetheless, she got over it. The next day, Beyoncé sent a hoodie to Lady Gaga, who was having a tough day. Her pain from the fibromyalgia was acute. Thankful to her long time friend, Lady Gaga posted on Instagram, “Not having a good day. Thank you honey- B for sending me this comfy sweatshirt. Keeps me warm outside in a hammock so I can be w the trees, and the sky, and the sun and take deep breaths. Feel lucky to have so much love.”
Then Beyoncé sent Gaga roses, as well. Seems her freakout wasn’t all too bad.
