2017 will be the year of elevated marijuana fashion. You can keep your weed-print pants and your cannabis leaf brooch. The future lies with actual marijuana: marijuana boutonnieres, marijuana bouquets, and now, #weednails.
Yes, #weednails. Like, little pieces of weed incorporated straight into your gel or acrylic manicure. The different types of weed nails ranges from the curious to the inspiring. Take Evon, for example, who works with Levon Nail Spa in Kent, Washington.
“My client sent me a photo of Bob Marley, because they share the same birthday,” Evon told High Times. “She wanted something along those lines. I asked her if she would be interested in a marijuana manicure, and she became really excited by the idea!”
Money.
Evon is in the clear as far as the state of Washington is concerned, but it’s the feds she’s got to worry about. She told High Times that she can’t charge for the service because she would have to pay federal tax on the marijuana. But judging by how #weednails has over 3,000 posts on Instagram, legalities don’t seem to be too much of a concern.
Check out some of the other examples for some inspiration for your next trip to the salon.
