We’ve all been there: you’re smoking and joking and having fun, until suddenly you come to the realization that you’re way higher than you want to be. The question then becomes how to deal with it, or how to come down. There are a number of products on the market to address this very issue. One of the latest is a chewing gum packed with CBD to help you combat THC-induced anxiety.
CBD, or cannabidiol, is a non-psychotropic compound found in the cannabis plant that is known to alleviate pain, inflammation, seizures, anxiety, and other ailments. It doesn’t get you high, but it does have a calming effect. It’s often recommended that if you’re uncomfortably high, anxious, or paranoid from too much THC, or tetrahydrocannabinol, the main psychoactive compound in cannabis, vaping, eating, or smoking a high-CBD product can help.
Bhang, a company based in Las Vegas, Nevada, offers products high in both CBD and THC in the form of chewing gum, edible spray, chocolates, and vaporizable oils. All are discrete options, without the giveaway smell or smoke.
Each pack of the CBD gum contains 100 milligrams of CBD, or 25 milligrams per stick of gum. Sweetened with stevia and xylitol, and flavored with mango and lemongrass extracts, the gum is also calorie-free.
The CBD gum doesn’t have to be used just to bring you down from an uncomfortable high. You can use it to combat generalized anxiety, daily aches and pains, or even as a daily wellness supplement.
If chomping on gum isn’t your thing, there are other antidotes to getting too high, as well, such as a shot of CannaRelief, a tincture with 20 milligram of CBD. You could also simply eat a CBD edible, or smoke or vape a strain high in CBD. Whatever you do, try not to freak out. Remember that, as uncomfortable and infinite as it may feel, being high is just temporary. If you’re prone to getting anxious, an indica-dominant strain, which gives you more of a body high, might be a better bet than a sativa, which provides a stronger head high. Take a few deep breaths, meditate, drink water, and try not to think about how high you are. Eventually you’ll realize you’ve come all the way back down.
